Waiting for: Catching Fire (it cannot come fast enough)

Busy this week. I'm trying to get prepared for school to begin. We have two weeks left and I haven't done any shopping. Nothing like waiting until the last minute. That's me, procrastinator extraordinaire. I've written a few pages this in Bait and Switch so I haven't been entirely unproductive on the writing front. I've also had a few brainstorming sessions with one of my crit partners *cough* Aline Hunter *cough*. Great stuff coming from her in the next few months. Have you seen her new cover?

Holy hotness, right? The book is a good one, too. Her fans are going to love it.

As for me, on the personal front, I've started a very rigorous new training routine with a detailed eating plan. It's kicking my ass. I am so sore it hurts to move. It's a good hurt though. Means it's working! I'm also cheering on my brother's beautiful girlfriend, Angelica Kathleen, who is currently training for WBFF World's Las Vegas. So proud of her!

I'm going to try and enjoy the last few days of summer we have left because after that it's all grind. Bait and Switch is due by the end of the year so I need to get my butt writing! Have a good week everyone and check out the latest review for A Firm Hand.  It's a Night Owl Top Pick

Coffee Talk

Coffee of the day: Kona
Just Read: Grabbed by Vicious by Lolita Lopez
On Deck: Caught by Menace by Lolita Lopez
Of Beast and Beauty by Stacey Jay
                Frankendom by Robin L Rotham
Writing: Bait and Switch
Recipe of the Week: Cilantro Lime Chicken Skewers
Shut up and take my money! Star Wars Death Star Tea Infuser
Movie Madness: SyFy Original Movies

Happy Hump Day. I am finally starting to get over this nasty virus I've had for the last week. Nothing like a summer cold to throw everything out of whack. To be honest, I haven't written anything in days. I've been resting and marathoning through SyFy Original movies. Yes, it was spurred on by the cinematic masterpiece known as Sharknado. This week's gems included Arachnoquake, Sharktopus and Jersey Shore Shark Attack. I'm officially cheesed out, feeling better and ready to get back to work.

I've been contemplating what to do after I finish the next two books in the Bound to You series and I've decided to take a small break from BDSM and work on something in the paranormal realm. Should be fun even if that's a ways off yet. I need to finish Jared and Sophia's story as well as the fourth book which I'm happy to announce will be Ivy's book. As of now, I don't have anymore stories planned for the series. That may change though. I'll keep you updated.

In other news, Shari over at Delighted reader posted this awesome review of A Firm Hand.

Theme Thursday - Tattoos

I don't know about you, but I love a hero with tattoos. There is just something about a man all inked up that gets me hot and bothered. Today I thought I'd feature some of my favorite fictional men with ink. Oh and a yummy link for those who have tastes similar to mine theinkedboys.com.

Fantasy becomes reality if you carry the mark...
Chloe Bryant doesn’t know what to expect when she enters The Wolf’s Den. Drawn to the werewolf tattoo parlor for reasons she can’t explain, she soon discovers the sexy man from her dreams isn’t a figment of her imagination. Not only is Jackson Donovan real, but he explains the dreams they shared are due to their destined mating. It can’t be possible. She’s not a werewolf. Even if he swears the mark on her wrist indicates otherwise.
Jackson is stunned to discover the beautiful minx from his dreams isn’t a full-blooded werewolf but a Halfling. The only way to uncover Chloe’s past is to stake a claim to her future. By taking the delectable female into his bed, he’ll unlock every secret she has to hide -- as well as awaken the passion she’s tucked away for too long -- by exploring her mind, body and soul one sweet inch at a time.

Trouble in the Making by Lissa Matthews

Johnny Trouble. He’s a commanding presence in leather and tattoos, both on stage and off. He’s had more than his fair share of groupies and lovers, but it’s time for a change and he reconnects with the one woman whose memory has driven him crazy since high school. Liz.
She’s a quiet, shy romance author who likes her comfort zones. But when Johnny comes back into her life after years of living in the spotlight, Liz’s private fantasies shift into overdrive and she nervously asks him to fulfill them.
Just one weekend is all she proposes, but the sparks flying between them when Johnny touches her aren’t temporary. She’s the particular brand of trouble he wants in his bed, bent over, or crawling all over him. Forever.
He just has to convince her by any means necessary…

Have a favorite hero with ink? Tell me about it.

Coffee Talk

Coffee of the day: Vanilla Biscotti
Just Read: Waking Kiss by Annabel Joseph
On Deck: Changed by Aline Hunter
Grabbed by Vicious by Lolita Lopez
                Camilla's Consequences by Helena Harker
Writing: Bait and Switch
Current TV Obsession: Teen Wolf (don't laugh!)
Recipe of the Week: Tiramisu Pancakes

Coffee in hand, I'm attempting to plan out my week. Summer is always a difficult time for me as an author. I have the kids at home and finding time to write is never an easy task. Right now I'm outlining Bait and Switch, Jared and Sophia's story. This one is going to be fun, but will require some seriously creative thinking. With both of them being Dominants, I have my work cut out for me. What's worse...my brain doesn't want to cooperate with me on this at all. It keeps feeding me bits of the paranormal erom I started earlier this year. Figures, doesn't it?

I finished up Annabel Joseph's Waking Kiss this week. Such a good book. I don't normally go for the BDSM as therapy trope. I have quite a few issues with it, but...Annabel pulled it off. I have a thing for flawed characters, throw in BDSM and ballet? Sold! This book did it for me in a big way. It's not as hardcore as some of her other novels. Even though the themes may be similar -- we've seen BDSM and ballet from her before --  each book has something new and fresh to offer. Go get this one. You won't be disappointed.

In other news, I joined Silken Sheets and Seduction's Summer Seduction Blog Hop which will take place on August 14th. Check out the awesome digital book bundle they'll be giving away.

If you haven't clicked on the recipe link above, what are you waiting for? Look at these! I'll be making them this week. Can't wait to dig in.

Lucky me - Vampire Mine by Aline Hunter

As some of you know, Aline Hunter / JA Saare is one of my crit partners. I had the pleasure of reading Vampire Mine in its early stages and I have to say, I think it's the best of the Omega series. Aline delivers everything we've come to expect from her edgy, paranormal series. For fans of this series, you won't be disappointed. If you haven't read Aline Hunter yet, what are you waiting for?

And how hot is this cover?

A bond as endless as time. Their forbidden union sealed in blood.
As the Alpha of New York, Trey Veznor placed the needs of his pack above everything—until the mate he’s waited centuries for waltzed into his life and gave him a taste of what he’d been missing. Sadie Dumus, seductive, beautiful and utterly captivating, is also something shifters avoid at all costs—a vampire. Stunned to learn of her nature, Trey turned his back on the only woman who could complete him.
Now, realizing he’s thrown away the one thing he can’t live without, Trey hunts Sadie down and defies tradition. Their sexual hunger is undeniable, with each sizzling encounter bringing them closer together. Sadie tries to resist but he refuses to allow it, using desire and her need for his blood to keep her close. With danger closing in, it’s necessary to announce his mating before the pack. To keep his female, he’s willing to lose everything he’s ever known.
